We have done lots of things in our action plan.

Today we talked about the TOILET’S, some changes we want to make are
1. Toilet hippo to save water.
2. Timer on lights.
3.soap dispenser
4.new taps
5.toilet seats
6.murals
7.take away water fountains
8.paint all walls

We talked about our Action Plan for Green Flag and we made a Target to show what we’re working on.

We were happy to welcome back Mrs Mather as a parent helper, we also had apologies from Mrs MacTaggart and Mrs Bignal.
Mrs McLellan told us she had applied for the silver award!
We discussed writing letters to members of our community to ask for help with Eco projects.
We worked in our Eco teams:
Rosie, John, Scott – Waste Management – Went to see Mrs Maclellan in the office and she told us all the things she is doing to save waste.
Rebecca, Caitlin, Abbie – Energy – wrote a letter to Matt at GRAB to ask him if he could help us calculate our carbon footprint.
Connagh, Gregor, Calum – School grounds -wrote to Islay timber to ask if they have any spare materials
Millie, Beth, Emily – Biodiversity- wrote a letter to ask some experts to help us make a pond in the School Garden

Next meeting Wednesday 9th January at 9.00 am – all welcome!

Today we talked about having new members in the eco executive we decided to get new members we chose Millie,Rosie and Beth. We made a note to some of the parents to ask them to attend our meettings. We split ourselves into teams to work on Eco schools.
The School Grounds team there is Connagh, Gregor and Calum in the Biodiversty team there is Millie,Beth and Emily in the Waste Managent team there is Rosie,Scott and John
in the Energy team there is Rebecca,Catlin and Abbie.

Next meeting will be on 12/12/07 all parents are welcome.

We talked about – School Targets time scale – Christmas cards to recycle – A letter for parent representitives.

The next meeting will be 28/11/07 – All parents are welcome!

We discussed the criteria for Silver Award.

We need to work on action plan targets for nursery and the Whole School.

We made up targets for p4-7 (Energy) and p1-3 (Litter)

We need to get more parents involved.
